Lesley Baker - 'Granny' Tea and Physics
An all round entertainer, Lesley is recently best known as the matriach of the Rebecchi clan in ‘Neighbours’(Toadies mum!). She featured in the iconic TV seriers ‘Prisoner’ as Monica Ferguson, and hosted her own show ‘The Incredible Lesley Baker Show’. With a career spanning 40+ years she has countless credits, going right back to ‘Bellbird’ and ‘IMT’ with Graeme Kennedy.
Don Bridges - 'Barry the Clerk' Hotel Motel
Don has an acting career spanning over thirty years with many varied roles in film, television and theatre in Australia, USA and the UK. Film credits include ‘Romper Stomper’, ‘Charlottes Web’ and ‘Gettin’ Square’. He has been a regular on Australian television on ‘Blue Heelers’, Neighbours’ and ‘Something in the Air’ and has played everything from Shakespeare to musical comedy with MTC, Unicorn theatre (London) and Melbourne’s La Mama.
Josh studied at the Performing Arts School in Ballarat, and from there went on to perform sketch comedy with his own group ‘The Six’, which won the Melbourne Fringe Comedy award in 2001. Short film credits include Tony in ‘The Referees’ directed by Katrina Mathers, (2003 Tropfest Finalist) and Billy in ‘Little Noel Wants to Fly’ directed by Nathene Valamanesh. He played the role of Mitchel in the feature film ‘Five Moments of Infidelity’ directed by Kate Gorman.
Andrew Carter - Producer Hotel Motel, 'Interior Designer' Tea and Physics
Andrew is an Actor, Writer, Producer and Director. Recent screen credits include ‘Neighbours’, ‘Animal’ and ‘The Gradient’. Other film and television credits include ‘Deadfall’, ‘Rainbows End’, ‘Good Guys Bad Guys’, ‘The Feds’ and ‘Hyde and Seek’. A graduate of the reknown Footscray Film School, Andrew has written and directed several TVC's and films including the award winning short ‘The Tub’. He has recently completed a pilot for a comedy series.
Julie is a gifted comedian and improviser who has worked the Melbourne circuit for over seventeen years. Performing nightly at Draculas Comedy Cabaret in the guise of her character ‘Sara Pax’, her quick wit and razor sharp skills have endeared her to thousands of patrons world wide. She has performed guest roles on ‘Stingers’, ‘Mercury’ and the critically acclaimed series ‘Janus’ and works regularly as an MC and host for corporate and public events.
Jeremy Kewley - 'Snr Sgt Richie' Hotel Motel, 'Plumber' Tea and Physics
Jeremy is one of the most recognisable faces on Australian film and television screens having played lead and regular roles on some of our most successful series; ‘Stingers’, ‘Neighbours’ and the award winning ‘Janus’ and ‘Janus II’. His film credits include ‘Amy’, ‘The Craic’ and Fred Schepisi’s ‘The Devils Playground’. He has written and produced several documentaries and many TVC’s and is much in demand as a studio warm up comedian for shows such as ‘The Footy show’ and ‘Who wants to be a Millionaire?’.
Fabian has graced more boards than a pirate, and has been in more films than you can shake a boom-stick at. He was once considered for the role of ‘Indiana Jones’ (of course, Fabian considers himself for a lot of roles). He is the proud owner of a Tony, an Emmy, and an Oscar (the families of Tony Kent, Emmy Richardson, and Oscar Wilkes are currently pressing charges). One time, Fabian ate a cat. A whole cat, can ya dig it? Fabian has his own production company B.E.C.A.W.D., and is most noted for his psychic powers (he’s inside your head as you read this now – so keep it clean).
Leonie Lee - 'Sara Mae' Hotel Motel
Lee Lee is a multi-talented performer finding success in both the music and acting industries. She played the role of Jennifer Dixon in ‘Neighbours’ and was cast as the seductive Cherry in the Aussie feature ‘The Bank’. Internationally she toured the US with ‘Rock Challenge’ and danced for AES in China at the ‘2000 NYE Event. The founding member and lead singer/songwriter of the all girl rock outfit ’The Lipsticks’, she recently collaborated with DJ Andy J on the track ‘I will have you’ currently receiving national airplay.
Esme Melville - 'Granny Crack' Hotel Motel
One of Australia’s best loved and most prolific actresses, Esme’s career spanned seven decades and covered everything from musical theatre to television to film. Best known for her work in Crawfords series such as ‘Homicide’, ‘Matlock’ and ‘Division 4’, her many film credits include ‘Stork’ ‘Crackerjack’ and most recently ‘Romulus my Father’. Still working well into her 80’s, Esme appeared regularly on the long running TV series ‘Neighbours’ as the dotty Rose Belker. Esme passed on after a short illness in 2006 at the age of 87. She was posthumously nominated in 2007 for an AFI Best Supporting Actress for her work in 'Romulus my Father'.
Anthony Sharpe - 'Gary' Hotel Motel, 'Council Inspector' Tea and Physics
Anthony is a relative newcomer to acting having already made his mark on the Melbourne muic scene as a dynamic front man and guitarist. He has had guest roles in ‘Blue Heelers’, ‘Stingers’ ‘Neighbours’ and featured in several memorable Australian TVC’s. He performs regularly with his band ‘Action Sam’ while his previous outfit ‘Heavy Human Traffic’ released three albums nationally and toured extensively.
An associate of the highly regarded Australian Film, Television and Radio School (AFTRS), Karl received his first DOP credit on Nick Levy’s ‘Radio Samurai’ (2001) and has gone on to shoot numerous music videos, short films and commercial projects. He was cinematographer on ‘Razor Eaters’ which received a US release in 2004 and has screened at several international film festivals. Much in demand, Karl is currently working on projects in the UK.
Brett Swain - 'Kevin' Tea and Physics
Brett Swain is a well-known Melbourne actor who has appeared in a wide variety of television, film and theatre productions. Brett first came to prominence for his critically acclaimed performance of the malevolent ‘Mal Henessey’ in the ABC drama ‘Janus’. He was seen as the beloved ‘Dad’ in Channel 10's ‘Fergus McPhail’ and has appeared in many varied shows such as ‘Stingers’, ‘Blue Heelers’, ‘Wild Side’, and ‘Sea Change’ and most recently as Kim Timmins in Neighbours He will also soon be appearing in Channel 9’s up coming series Underbelly. Brett has also appeared in films such as Mallboy, Take-Away, Bad Eggs, and Crackerjack. His theatre credits include Mojo with Human Sacrifice , Bouncers with Theatre Up North, 'Riff Raff ' in The Rocky Horror Show at The Regent Theatre in 2004 and Revelations first played at The Albany Correctional Centre in WA with The Salt Bush Writers. Brett is also a well-known voice artist, comedy performer and has fronted many bands.
A graduate of the reknowned Footscray Film School, Stuart has recently completed shooting and editing the upcoming feature film ‘Tomboys’. Other credits include ‘The Strange Game of Hyde and Seek’ and the comedy series ‘Gloom’.
Nicholas is an actor, writer and producer. He began acting in children's theatre and worked in stage management at Chapel Off Chapel. Most recently he completed 'Joyful Strains' a television comedy pilot. Some of his acting credits include 'Hyde and Seek' directed by Nathan Hill, 'Blackaut' directed by Andrew Carter and 'Gloom With A View' directed by Fabian Lapham. Nicholas also contributes works regularly to 'The Brikwerk Collective' an art group whose works now span a decade. He is currently working on a series of films and paintings exploring suburban existence.
Paul Witty - Composer Hotel Motel, Tea and Physics, Sound Design Hotel Motel
Paul has been a regular on the Australian music scene since the early 90’s. He played the part of ‘Ace Frehley’ in Australia’s premier Kiss tribute, ‘Disstroyer’, touring extensively through the Southern Hemisphere, and was personally asked by Kiss to tour with them during the Australian leg of their 1995/96 ‘Kiss Convention’ tour. Paul played lead guitar with Melbourne Indie-Pop band ‘Tank’, who released their critically acclaimed self-titled ep in 2000. The band secured several lucrative publishing deals in the US and had steady rotation on College radio for the following 2 years.
