Tea and Physics - a story of black holes and renovations
Taking just 6 weeks from concept to completion, Tea and Physics is the second production from Before Dawn films. It has quite a different feel to the high octane energy of 'Hotel Motel', yet retains all the quirk and style associated with our company.
The project features some familiar names and faces but with new ones popping up to extend the Before Dawn family. Stuart Van Eysden takes on DOP duties, as well as providing his and Fabian's kitchen as the main location. Stu has done a fantastic job shooting and grading this film. In fact it looks so awesome it's difficult to believe it was shot on a pro-sumer grade camcorder with a production budget of just $400.
Fabian Lapham managed to drag himself out of his trailer (well, bedroom) and onto set in order to supply one of his
inimitable comic performances as Mark, the everyman with the pan-dimensional problem.
Many well known faces from film and TV joined the shoot; Jeremy Kewley, Brett Swain, and Lesley Baker all signing up for the cameo conga line.
While Michael Robinson enthusiastically took over sound design activities, Before Dawn regular Paul Witty supplied his usual brilliant music for the sound track. Stay tuned for Paul's marathon musical opus in the upcoming 'Horror House of Horror' from Before Dawn films.
